Under the collaboration agreement between Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) and Huizhou University, the Department of Mathematics at SUSTech travelled to their colleagues in Huizhou to promote the development of the discipline and the cultivation of educational talents within Huizhou University.

Mathematics Department head Wang Xiaoming led the delegation to Huizhou University, where they met with the School of Mathematics and Big Data. They were met by Huizhou University Vice President Liu Guodong and Dean of the School of Mathematics and Big Data Chen Yizhi, among other leaders from Huizhou University and their School of Mathematics and Big Data.

Huizhou University Vice President Liu Guodong first gave a briefing about Huizhou University, before talking about the Department of Mathematics at SUSTech. He wanted to learn about how the Department operates, with the aim of applying that knowledge to his own university.

Huizhou University School of Mathematics and Big Data Party Secretary Jin Yan hoped that the Department of Mathematics would help his School improve their research level and transform their achievements.

Dean Chen Yizhi introduced his School, saying that it is in a key period of provincial key discipline development. He wants to cooperate with his counterpart department at SUSTech in a wide range of areas to provide better service to society.

SUSTech Department of Mathematics Head Wang Xiaoming talked about the faculty and the research direction in his Department. He said that Huizhou University had a long and rich history, so he anticipated that SUSTech could work together with Huizhou University for mutually beneficial cooperation.

The delegations discussed the establishment of a long-term mechanism for exchanges, regular visits and professional research collaborations.
